We value your time and respect your right to privacy.

 

This Privacy Policy applies to the use of tinysprout.org and your participation in any research and pilot sessions with us. It tells you (the volunteers, the admins, the students) what to expect when we collect personally identifiable information about you. 

 

We will not collect any personally identifiable information about you unless it is in response to you using our website, actively registering or enquiring about our website or our partnering schools. The security of your personally identifiable information is extremely important to us. 

 

Since Sprout is currently in demo testing mode, we want to be transparent about how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using our platform, you trust us with your information—and we take that seriously.

 

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy as we deem necessary. Note: This policy applies to Sprout’s demo phase. Terms may be updated upon official launch.

  • To sign up as a volunteer, we ask for:

    • Email address (for communication and account verification)

    • Name, age, and birthday (for identity verification and age eligibility)

    • Location (to coordinate with our partnering schools)

    • Identification documents (government ID or passport for background checks)

    • Teaching certificates (if applicable, to verify qualifications)

    Additionally:

    • Live class recordings (for quality control, training, and safety purposes)

    • Communication logs (emails, appointment reminders, and CSR certificates)

    When you contact us for assistance, we receive the information you provide in that correspondence and any other information you send to us.

    Information We Receive Automatically When You Use Our Website We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

    De-Identified or Aggregate Information

    De-identified information is data we collect that has been combined with information from others so that the recipient of the data is not able to identify any particular individual or device from the data.

    ✔ Schedule classes and send you reminders (so you never miss a session!).

    ✔ Ensure student safety by checking volunteer backgrounds.

    ✔ Recognize your effort with a certificate after you complete your CSR hours.

    ✔ Improve Sprout by reviewing class recordings for training purposes.

    Who We Share With

     

    We may share your information only in the following cases:

    • Partner Schools in Phuket, Thailand: To facilitate class scheduling and coordination.

    • Legal Compliance: If required by law (e.g., court orders, fraud prevention).

    • Service Providers: Third-party tools for email notifications (like email tools—but never advertisers!).

    We are committed to maintaining your trust and we want you to understand when and with whom we may share the information we collect from you. We may share your information with other parties when required by law or as necessary to protect the services. We may disclose your information to such third parties in order to:

    • Protect the legal rights, safety and security of our services and its users.

    • Prevent fraud (or for risk management purposes).

    • Comply with or respond to law enforcement or legal processes or a request for cooperation by a government or other entity, whether or not legally required. If Sprout intends to disclose a member’s information to law enforcement or in response to a legal process, we will make reasonable efforts to promptly notify the member - and, if the member is under 18 years of age, the member’s parent or legal guardian - unless directed not to by a court of law.

    • Conduct research or analysis. We may share De-Identified or Aggregate Information with any entity, including for research and analysis purposes. De-identified information is data we collect that has been combined with information from others so that the recipient of the data is not able to identify any particular individual or device from the data. We will never share personally identifiable information with third party commercial entities for direct marketing purposes, unless permitted by you.

    We do not sell or rent your personal data to advertisers or other third parties.

    • We retain your data only as long as necessary for volunteer coordination.

    • Recorded sessions may be stored for training and compliance purposes.

    We implement security measures (encryption, secure logins) to protect your data, but no system is perfect - we appreciate your trust in us!

  • You can:

    • Access, update, or delete your data.

    • Opt out of non-essential emails.

    • Request removal of recordings (unless needed for legal reasons).
