  • How long does the onboarding process take?
    At Sprout, we like to make sure every volunteer is set up for success! The onboarding process usually takes 2-3 days, depending on how quickly you complete the steps (account setup, cultural training videos, vetting process by moderators). We’ll keep you updated every step of the way—no guessing games here!
  • When will I know if I’ve been accepted as a volunteer?
    We know waiting isn’t fun, so we’ll get back to you within 1-2 business days after you submit your application. If you’re in (and we’ve got a good feeling you will be!), you’ll get a welcome email with everything you need to start. Keep an eye on your inbox!
  • What teaching materials do I need to prepare beforehand?
    Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered! Our moderators will email you with topics the school and children are interested in under your chosen subject. Plus, we provide ready-to-use teaching templates with exercises so you can hit the ground running. Just bring your enthusiasm!
  • How do I book sessions on Sprout?
    Scheduling is a breeze! Here’s how it works: Log in to your Sprout dashboard Browse available live mentoring sessions Claim the time slots that fit your schedule Show up and help learners thrive! Need to reschedule? No problem—just give us at least 24 hours’ notice so we can adjust.
  • Does Sprout provide volunteer certificates?
    Yes! Once you’ve completed 8+ hours of volunteering with Sprout, you can request a verified certificate from your dashboard. It’ll include your name, hours contributed, and the dates of your service—perfect for resumes, school requirements, or just feeling proud of your impact. Have more questions?
